Age Requirements

 

Trinity Community Preschool is established to serve children 1 through 6 years of age. Children must turn 1 by Oct. 1st for the 1's class or 2, 3, or 4 by January 1st of the school year for other classes. Additionally, we are now accepting children who turn 5 by April 1st into our 5 year old class. All children over three years of age must be potty trained.

The ones and twos classes have a 4 to 1 child/teacher ratio, the 3 - 5 year old classes have a 7 or 8 to 1 child/teacher ratio.

Children enrolled in the 3-year-old class or Wednesday 2 year old class  have an option of staying until 1:00 on days of attendance. A child staying until 1:00 must bring his or her own lunch and drink to school, with an ice pack, as refrigeration is not provided. In order to plan for staffing, we ask parents to indicate interest on the registration form. When school begins, there will be weekly sign ups posted on the classroom doors. Parents must sign their child up one week in advance. This program is staffed according to interest. 

Children enrolled in the 4- and 5-year-old classes stay until 1:00 as part of their regular program and must bring a lunch and drink to school with an ice pack. * 5 year olds- Pre-Kindergarten Transition Class

Trinity Community Preschool offers a unique Pre-K Transitional class (5's class) for children who are old enough to attend Kindergarten, who would benefit from an extra year in a small, low-key, 5 day a week classroom with gentle, individual attention given to skills needed for Kindergarten and all areas of development.
Now accepting children in this class who turn 5 by April 1st.
